SUBJECT: ADVISORY COMMITTEE RESIGNATION (1) re: Local Emergency Planning
Committee (LEPC); Jefferson Transit Representative, Gary Maxfield
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
On October 16, 2025, I received an email stating the resignation of Jefferson County Transit Representative,
Gary Maxfield, from the Local Emergency Planning Committee. Mr. Maxfield is no longer employed by
Jefferson County Transit; thus he is not able to sit on the LEPC. He will be leaving an unexpired term that
will end on July 8, 2026. He was first appointed to this committee on July 8, 2024.
RECOMMENDATION
Accept the LEPC email stating the resignation of Jefferson County Transit Representative, Gary Maxfield,
and sign the thank you letter for his committee service.
