RE: Workshop—2026 Recommended Budget—General Fund
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The General Fund has approx. $5.2 million budget deficit.To present a balanced budget as mandated by
the state, it will require a 12%reduction in expenditures.
ANALYSIS:
The County Administrator and Finance Direct will discuss the options,make recommendations,and ask
the Board for guidance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To be determined based on Board guidance.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Board participate in the workshop and work with staff to provide guidance that would move towards
a fiscally responsible adopted budget for FY2026.
