SUBJECT: WORKSHOP re: Economic Development reports from EDC Team Jefferson and
NODC
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
This is an annual report from Team Jefferson, which is the Economic Development Council (EDC)of
Jefferson County, and the North Olympic Development Council (NODC) on economic development
activities, including those funded by Jefferson County. David Ballif,the Executive Director of EDC Team
Jefferson, and Karen Affeld, the Executive Director of the NODC,will present to the Board of County
Commissioners.
ANALYSIS:
Jefferson County collaborates with EDC Team Jefferson and the NODC on economic development
initiatives and programs. Mr. Ballif will review EDC Team Jefferson accomplishments in 2025
and highlights from its soon-to-be-published 2026-2027 Strategic Plan. Among the information presented by
Ms. Affeld will be an overview of NODC's work in the region and in Jefferson County specifically, as well
as highlights from the 2026-30 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)for the region.

Listen to the presentations, ask questions, and provide guidance for future activities and collaboration.
