STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The proposed proclamation recognizes the Community Chorus providing and continues to provide a wide
range of musical ability,age, and background to participate in musical performance. The Community
Chorus adds to the culture of our community with concerts for the education and enjoyment of our citizens.

PROCLAMATION
50th Anniversary of the Community Chorus of Port Townsend and East Jefferson County
WHEREAS, the Community Chorus of Port Townsend and East Jefferson County will celebrate its
50th Concert Season with performances of Handel's Messiah on November 22, and again on November 23,
2025; and
WHEREAS, the Community Chorus has for 50 years provided and continues to provide an
opportunity to its citizens of a wide range of musical ability, age, and background to participate in musical
performance; and
WHEREAS, the Community Chorus adds to the culture of our community with concerts for the
education and enjoyment of our citizens; and
WHEREAS,the Community Chorus adds to the culture of our community with concerts for the
education and enjoyment of our citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Community Chorus provides scholarships to deserving college-bound students;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT Jefferson County Board of Commissioners hereby
proclaim the month of November, 2025, as
50th Anniversary of the Community Chorus of Port Townsend and East Jefferson County
We encourage all County residents to join the performing music concerts in April.
