Commissioners/County Staff,
Thank you, for your diligent work updating the Unauthorized Encampment Removal Policy. We appreciate the meaningful improvements and the thoughtful public health framing, and acknowledge
the clear effort of collaboration.
Attached are our final recommendations, focused on three priorities:
1. No displacement without appropriate placement
2. Transparent outcomes reporting, including demographic and emphasis-area impacts
3. Continued grounding in Housing First and Washington equity standards
We offer these in the spirit of partnership and shared accountability to the goal we all share: helping more people move into safe, stable, dignified living conditions.
