Final Summary Letter
204 Seaway PI., Lot 74
Teal Lake Village Residential Site
Port Ludlow, Washington
Job No. PtLudlowAssoc.Lot74.SL
This letter is provided at your request and provides our opinion regarding foundation
support and erosion control for Lot 74 of Teal Lake Village, 204 Seaway Place . We previously
prepared a geotechnical letter for the site during a previous foundation excavation, which was
subsequently abandoned. Based on our discussions with you and our review of the construction
documents for the site,we understand that the foundation excavation for the existing residence
removed the previously disturbed soil materials. We further understand that the new foundation
was installed using helical anchors and deepened foundation footings/walls. Backfill material
consisted of select granular material (washed rock) placed and tamped with heavy equipment per
conventional geotechnical guidelines. We also understand that the temporary shoring wall
installed along the west side of the foundation excavation was left in-place and backfilled with the
granular material for both lateral support and drainage.
At the time of our site visit, the landscaping for the residence was installed, including
several rock landscape walls. No areas of exposed soils or erosion were observed. The collected
storm water runoff is directed to the toe of the slope in a flat to gently sloping area, per the previous
geotechnical recommendations.
Based on the above, it is our opinion that the foundation support, drainage and erosion
control measures were installed in general accordance with the plans and specifications for the
project, and should provide adequate support, drainage and erosion control for the residential
structure.
We hope this satisfies your current needs. If you have any questions regarding this letter
or need additional information please call us.
Yours Very Truly,
GeoResources, LLC
