The Board shall nominate a slate of candidates or may appoint a committee to do so. This slate, however, shall not be exclusive of any nominations made by the membership. PTMS launched the Mobile Greeter Program in 2024 with support from the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, when the Chamber of Commerce closed operations of the Visitor Information Center. “Main Street offered a solution to provide information services and support the community need while also fostering a welcoming culture for both residents and visitors,” said Natalie Maitland, PTMS Executive Director. The program was part of a collaborative hub and spoke model and meets the person where they need information. The Mobile Greeter utilizes an electric bike and engages with folks passing by – offering information about local businesses, tips about getting around, and even stories of Port Townsend’s unique history.
