Housing planning workshop set for Nov. 13
Workshop will focus on jurisdictions with periodic updates due in 2027
Commerce invites planners to join us for the next installment of the Periodic Update Workshop Series, hosted in partnership with the Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC).
This workshop will focus on housing planning to support jurisdictions with periodic updates due in 2027, including for partially planning jurisdictions.

This workshop will cover:
* New housing element requirements and tips for completing each section (such as identifying housing needs, land capacity, adequate provisions and racially disparate impacts)
* Updates to housing element guidance based on recent Growth Management Hearings Board (GMHB) cases
* Other housing code changes required with the periodic update
* A community case study on the City of Anacortes
