JEFFERSON COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA REQUEST
TO: Board of County Commissioners
FROM: Adiel McKnight, Deputy Clerk of the Board
DATE: November 10,2025
SUBJECT: UPDATE re: Washington State Department of Natural Resources 2025 3rd Quarterly
County Income Report
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Drew Rosanbalm, DNR State Lands Assistant, will provide the Commissioners with an update regarding
the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Quarterly County Income Report.
ANALYSIS:
DNR representatives provide a Quarterly County Income Report to Jefferson County. Revenues received
from DNR management of State Trust Lands affect Jefferson County, as well as junior taxing districts,
such as area school districts. Clallam County has a Revenue Advisory Committee (RAC) in order to share
information and input regarding timber management and the resulting revenue distribution. Jefferson
County could establish a similar committee. This agenda item offers an opportunity to review this idea
with DNR staff.
www.clallamcountywa.gov/1778/Revenue-Advisory-Committee-RAC
FISCAL IMPACT:
DNR representatives will discuss timber sales and revenue reports.
RECOMMENDATION:
No action required. The Board of County Commissioners could direct staff to establish—in consultation and
coordination with DNR—an advisory committee comparable to the RAC referenced above and schedule a
future meeting in conjunction with a DNR Quarterly County Income Report.
