SUBJECT: MOTION TO AFFIRM re: 2026 Affordable Housing and Homeless
Housing Recommendation from the Housing Fund Board (HFB) for
qualifying affordable housing and homeless housing projects
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The Commissioners approved the issuance of an RFP on September 2, 2025, and staff advertised. The
funding available for 2026 is $1,460,000. $160,000 for 5386 Homeless Housing and Assistance(operating)
funds; $780,000 for 1590 Affordable and Supportive Housing development funds, and first year operating
funds; and$520,000 for 1590 Affordable and Supportive Housing operating funds.
ANALYSIS:
During their October 29, 2025 and November 4, 2025 Special Meetings, the Housing Fund Board (HFB)
reviewed various RFPs received. The HFB members discussed which funds could be allocated for the
proposed projects. After the discussion, the Board passed motions to recommend funding the following
projects:

RECOMMENDATION:
Review the HFB recommendation and take-action to affirm the 2025 Affordable Housing(Fund 148) and
Homeless Housing (Fund 149)expenditures as recommended.
