RE: Workshop—General Fund 2026 Budget
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The General Fund has approx. $5.2 million budget deficit.To present a balanced budget as mandated by
the state, it will require a 12%reduction in expenditures.
ANALYSIS:
The Finance Director and County Administrator will discuss where we are in the process with the
upcoming public hearing in December.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To be determined based on any Board guidance.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Board with staff to provide additional guidance that would move towards a fiscally responsible
adopted budget for FY2026.
