Call to Order: Chairman Taylor called the meeting to order called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.
in the presence of Member Bob Gebo, Member Mark McCauley, Chief Examiner Sarah Melancon,
Secretary Kristen Bennett and Lindsay Gonzalez.
Public Comment: No comments received.
Approval of Minutes: Member McCauley Motioned to approve the meeting Minutes from July 22,
2025, as presented. Member Gebo seconded the Motion. The Motion carried.
New Business:
1. Robert Gebo’s resignation and recruitment posting discussion: Chief Examiner Melancon
presented Member Gebo with an honorary paperweight in commemoration of his 23 years of
service with the Civil Service Commission. Discussion followed regarding advertising for his
replacement in the upcoming year.
Old Business: None
1. Update Regarding Accreditation Specialist Position Posting: Secretary Bennett stated that the
position had been properly advertised and that four applications were received. The Sheriff is
currently reviewing the submitted applications
Closing Remarks: Chairman Taylor expressed his gratitude to Member Gobo for his years of
dedicated service and acknowledged his extensive knowledge and valuable contributions to the
Commission.
Notice of Adjournment: Chair Dan Taylor adjourned the regular meeting at 2:08 p.m. until regular
meeting scheduled November 25, 2025.
