Dear commissioners,
I wonder if you know just how many of your constituents utilize the center in Port Townsend. I personally go to Zumba classes with Chris and Bailey. These instructors are knowledgeable,
talented, extremely welcoming, and just fun! It’s exercise first and foremost, but participating in Zumba class is also a great way to meet people of all ages. Having the community
center as our homebase keeps costs down and participation high. When one reads so many stories about loneliness, I count it as a blessing to have wonderful friends and support in my
wellness journey right here at the community center. I also know many others in our community who participate in wellness groups, and other exercise classes at the center. Not to mention
younger kids who play on the grounds. Known to be a safe and nurturing place for our children. So central to life for all kinds of folks in both Port Townsend and our whole county.
I for one don’t know what I’d do without it! Stella R. Shinn
