Dear Conservation Colleagues:
Thank you for being one of the 79 elected officials, local businesses and conservation, recreation and wildlife organizations that signed the attached letter to Governor Bob Ferguson
urging him to submit a supplemental capital budget request for Trust Land Transfer projects before the upcoming 2026 legislative session. This was a great turnout for this letter on
a relatively quick timeframe. The letter was sent to the Governor's office on Friday 11/21 and I received confirmation of receipt.
Sincerely,
Tom Uniack
P.S. If you would like to learn more about how to do more to support additional funding for the Trust Land Transfer program, see the announcement below.
Upcoming Trust Land Transfer Advocacy Webinar Wed December 10 at 4 pm
Join Washington Wild and Stewards of Washington State Lands (formerly the TLT Advocacy Coalition) on a webinar to learn about how you can help ask the legislature for more funding for
DNR’s Trust Land Transfer program. DNR is currently in the midst of reviewing 40 applications for the next round of the TLT program, which shows the unprecedented demand for conservation
on Washington state public lands. We hope the legislature will recognize the demand and make a supplemental capital budget appropriation in the 2026 session for the TLT program. Join
the webinar to learn how you can help, including by joining other advocates for a January 28th lobby day in Olympia.
Join us on December 10th at 4pm.
