This week, I am back in D.C. for another busy week of voting and attending hearings. I hope you all had a chance to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with the friends and family who make
our communities so special. Here’s what I was up to last week:
Last Week in Washington State Living along the shores of the Salish Sea is an honor in
itself, but co-chairing the Puget Sound Recovery Caucus alongside my colleague Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (D, WA-10) is an extra special honor. Last Monday, we gathered at Titlow
Lodge in Tacoma alongside Tribal and environmental leaders, local partners and community members for Puget Sound Day on the Sound. Together, we highlighted the incredible work underway
to protect and restore the Salish Sea — waters that are central to our health, our economy, and our way of life in the Pacific Northwest. I’m committed to fighting for every federal
dollar — and to working with any partner — to keep this recovery moving.
Supporting Local Businesses Saturday was Small Business Saturday! Across my district,
local small businesses — from bookstores, bakeries, artisans, and cafés — provide amazing services, goods, and experiences for anyone who visits. Small businesses are the backbone of
