Public Comment (1:00) Laura noted that Gibbs Lake Park E-Bike riders don’t have a place to hitch their bike and would like to see that added. Minutes approved (1:55) (Marianne arrived) (2:00) Moved by Marianne, seconded by Karin, and carried all in favor: to accept meeting minutes from August 7, 2025. BOARD MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS (2:50) Bob announced Back Country Horsemen and Peninsula Trails Coalition is placing gravel on the Olympic Discovery Trails within Anderson Lake State Park this Saturday (Oct 4). JCPRAB Board Work and Event Planning (4:49) Marianne provided thanks to those that helped create the event. Alternative ideas were discussed to capture more Recreation volunteers. The board will continue this discussion at a future meeting. NEW BUSINESS (13:15) Nominations for Chair and Vice-Chair in 2026 Karin proposed a 2-year term for chair and vice-chair. Moved by Diana, seconded by Vern, and carried all in favor: to change the by-law to “Officers of the JCPRAB shall serve for two years from the date of election.”. Bob Hoyle was nominated for chair. Karin Nyrop volunteered for vice chair. December appointments will be for the second year of the two-year terms. Possible Discussion of Board Work Plan (23:00) The board preferred to schedule a special meeting for further discussion of their work plan. Special meetings were requested for November 6 at 3pm and January 12 at 3pm. The focus of the meetings is to review the bylaws & documents indicating what the board’s job is to make sure the board is comfortable and understands their purpose and to understand their responsibilities with the planning budget and capital plan. BOARD MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENT (Continued) (45:15) Marianne provided an update to the Friends of Irondale Beach Park. Discussion occurred regarding surrounding properties of the park. NEW BUSINESS (Continued) (49:11) Possible Discussion of Board Work Plan Discussion continued regarding the Board Work Plan. (Marianne left) (51:16) Quorum maintained SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS (51:18) BoCC Presentation Subcommittee (Diana, Vern, Karin, and Bob) The presentation was planned to present to the board on Oct 20, 2025. The board reviewed and discussed the presentation. Bob shared the planned presentation.
