Peters, County Administrator DATE: December 8, 2025 RE: WORKSHOP re: Jefferson County Connectivity Summit— Preparation for 2026 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Production Alliance (TPA) is on contract with Jefferson County for event management services associated with a variety of community endeavors. One of those is the Connectivity Summit, a countywide civic engagement and community-building event involving schools, nonprofits, youth groups, and government organizations across the county. Preparations for underway for the 2026 Connectivity Summit, to be held March 13-15. TPA representatives will present to the Board in fulfillment of the following objectives: 1. Update BoCC on Connectivity Summit activities thus far, including draft program and engagement work. 2. Discuss BoCC/Jefferson County presence at the Connectivity Summit and identify opportunities for collaboration. ANALYSIS: The Connectivity Summit brings together over 100 community organizations and includes activities such as the Youth Opportunity Fair, Community Connectivity Fair, open- space topic sessions, networking activities, and community meals. At the 2025 event, Jefferson County Public Health and other county staff engaged with hundreds of residents, including more than 600 students. County participation in the Connectivity Summit enables us to: • Strengthen communication between county departments and residents • Increase youth and community outreach • Collect community input on planning, public health, resilience, and county services • Increase visibility and transparency of county programs • Support interagency collaboration and community education FISCAL IMPACT: The proposed 2026 budget includes estimated expenditures for the 2026 Connectivity Summit. There could be adjustments based on emergent needs. RECOMMENDATION: Engage with TPA and county in a discussion about planning for the 2026 Connectivity Summit. REVIEWED BY: /, -�►i f011,0c Jo • D.
