Big thanks to Jefferson County WA Gov, for the electrical repairs and early paint scheduling so we can have lights at both centers! Extra thanks to OlyCAP for their support and to Emeraldtowns Alliance for sponsorship and partnership. 🗓️ Decorating Day Schedule: • Sunday, December 7th - Brinnon Community Center: 12:00 PM • Wednesday, December 10th - Quilcene Community Center: 1:00 PM • 3:30pm - Photos with Sasquatch Santa at both events! • 5:30pm Celebrate with the community when all the Sparkle is illuminated at both events! 🌟 12/7 - Bonus Festivity in Brinnon! While decorating the Brinnon Community Center, you can also attend a Free Swag-Making Event hosted by the Emerald Towns Alliance (2–4 PM). It is our hopes and wishes that the Holiday Sparkle Project will become an annual event! ________________________________ 📣 Brinnon and Quilcene Community Centers RFP Update: The county expects to re-release the RFP for the community center management agreement in January (date TBD). Stay tuned for more about our vision for both centers. We would like to hear from you about how your centers are run? Dan Ventura (Current NHCCC president) will continue his tenure on the NHCCC Board and Patty Schmucker will join as the newest NHCCC Board Member. Current Chamber Board President: Dan Ventura Vice President: Jean Ball Treasurer: Shellie Yarnell Director: Patty Schmucker Director: Robert Gash Executive Director: Andrew Schwartz (acting secretary) Exciting things ahead in 2026! 🏘️ ________________________________ 💰 LTAC Update: Unfortunately for all 19 LTAC applicants, the process continues to be delayed and final distribution of funds decision is still pending with the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners. Perhaps a decision will be made at next Monday’s (12/8) Commissioner’s meeting? ________________________________ 📣 Submit Your Events to the Chamber Calendar! We're happy to announce some minor improvements to the Chamber website! We know the current website can feel a little antiquated (it is), and making changes sometimes feels like playing in a china shop. It’s easily broken. So, we've carefully added a new feature to make sharing community information easier. See What's Happening We've also added a new "Events Listing" section to the homepage called "Looking for something to do". This displays a 15-day current calendar listing of things to do in the area, keeping our local community and tourists informed. Please, we encourage you to submit your events! Submit Your Events Online A Calendar event submission form has been added to the Chamber website (submission form link <https://wordpress.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=27f90fdb63979758b6fdb77d3&id=2cd8791cb9&e=268b36d364> ). Now, anyone can submit their own events to be published on the Chamber website! * How it Works: Just fill out the online form and we will review the event request for publishing. If we have questions we will contact you. * A Note on Staffing: Please note that the Chamber does not have the bandwidth or staffing to handle the data entry needs for a large community and business calendar. This is why we have created a submission form so you can easily submit your events for publication. * Review Process: All submissions will be reviewed before publication, and we reserve the right to decline any event. Please understand that not all submissions may be approved. ________________________________ 🏔️ Join the North Hood Canal Chamber of Commerce! NOTE: NO Members Meeting on Dec. 15th due to the Holidays! Becoming a Chamber member is a wonderful way to connect with local businesses, support economic growth, and stay engaged with what’s happening in our community. Your membership also helps the Chamber continue leading key initiatives that strengthen South County.
