Hello Commissioners,
I'm writing to encourage you to keep the PT Rec center open. I raised two kids in PT and they spent countless hours playing basketball, ping pong and pool at the rec center over the
years as well as attending many special events there. I know first hand how important it was to have a place for kids to gather after school for fun, healthy activities. While my
kids are grown up, I fully support using my tax dollars to keep this open for the community. We talk a lot about our aging population, and the only solution is to make Jefferson county
more attractive to young families. Keeping the Rec center open is one clear way to do this.
I know you have some difficult budget issues and some important programs will be cut. Please prioritize the children in our county and fund the Rec center.
