This is a invitation to all of you and to your fellow worker's. I just don't have everyone's emails.
For me, this is the best time of the year. To be able to give to our community, young and old. To feed people. To bring people together that do not normally get-together. To offer opportunities
for people to serve one another. To have a safe place to gather.
For me, this is Christmas.
Last year, we had over 60 volunteers. Food for all. Gifts, clothing, bedding and even dog and cat food.
There were two kids that came with volunteers mom and dad. The kids brought with them toys. Used toys. I was so touched by the generosity of the kids. They had brought there most loved
and played with toys to give to other kids that had less than them.
We had a table set with volunteers that helped people to decorate cookies.
A couple of volunteers were squeezing oranges, all morning long for fresh orange juice.
There was a worm fire inside with live music.
Outside was a hot fire pit and a handful of volunteers cooking breakfast items all morning long.
This year we are adding puppeteers and make your own puppets.
Today I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this community and to be able to give back and love on people.
