HomeMy WebLinkAbout120925 - Holiday Request for Messages of Support for Frontline Housing StaffALERT: BE CAUTIOUS This email originated outside the organization. Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them.
Dear Jefferson County Board of Commissioners,
As we approach the holiday season, I am reaching out with a heartfelt request on behalf of the dedicated frontline staff working tirelessly in our housing and homelessness programs.
These individuals are the backbone of our efforts to serve the most vulnerable members of our community, yet the emotional and psychological toll of this work is significant.
Recent research underscores the challenges they face:
* 33% of homeless sector frontline workers report symptoms of PTSD
* 20% experience burnout
* 50% report emotional exhaustion
* 49% experience depersonalization
*
39% feel a reduced sense of personal accomplishment
Despite these realities, they continue to serve with dedication and heart. A message from you would remind them that their efforts are seen and valued by the very leaders guiding our
community. Our staff curate creative, individualized solutions for each household and need they encounter, brief but specific individual statements from each of you would be particularly
meaningful.
Please reply to this email with your messages by December 18th, so we can share this collection with staff before the holidays. Thank you for your leadership and for standing with those
who serve our most vulnerable neighbors.
