coursework and trainer participation.

Once trained, providers or other parent educators can take a 9-hour facilitator training to teach Parents Connect, or Social, Emotional, & Academic Competence for Children & Parents

Internal PECC Operations Discussion

fiscal sponsor through June 2026. Members also provided initial decision feedback for the upcoming draft PECC charter. This included that PECC leadership can make minor or time sensitive
decisions on behalf of PECC. Some members requested information via email or discussion before decisions are made, when possible. We'll further discuss the pros and cons of voting by
consensus and options for a formal vote structure in the new year.
PECC members also provided feedback on ways that PECC could be more inclusive and better engage a diverse set of voices. Suggestions included exploring meeting in person, bringing in
more multicultural providers into our network, sending meeting summaries, and an equity audit.
After our meting, PECC leadership took these ideas to WCFC's equity advisor to discuss next steps. Given both capacity and PECC's upcoming iterations on a charter, decision making framework,
website and communications, and succession planning, we were advised to continue iteratively working on these defined topics, and holding space for member feedback, to ensure member
preferences are heard.
Community Updates
An additional resource since our meeting: Commerce is seeking proposals to develop technical assistance documents intended to help local governments site child care facilities and energy
