At JCHS, our collections continue to spark curiosity, and each artifact we steward in our 500,000+ item collection represents a moment in time that tells a unique story from our community.
From archival maps to century-old farming equipment, together we are ensuring that the people, places, and events of Jefferson County are never forgotten.
As we look back on 2025, we're proud to share some of our achievements:

* Recorded 65,000+ visits to our online collection, which currently holds approximately 46,545 records.
* Processed 28 new acquisition groups into our permanent collection, cataloged 720 items, and updated 11,000+ existing records.
* Assisted with 160 in-person or virtual research projects.

abilities can fully experience the objects, exhibits, and experiences that shape Jefferson County.
