Mega Merriment in Port Townsend and Crafts & Cocoa with PT Artscape brought our community together in the most joyful and creative ways—and we couldn’t be more grateful. We had over 1,000 people visit us at the Cotton Building on the past two Saturdays and many more joined us to shop, dine, and attend the tree lighting. From Santa visits and the Kiwanis Choo Choo to craft markets, kids’ activities, cocoa, and hands-on art-making, these events were filled with laughter, connection, and festive cheer. None of it would be possible without the amazing community members, families, visitors, volunteers, artists, performers, sponsors, and partners who showed up to celebrate, support local businesses, and make these moments truly special. Thank you to everyone who bundled up, joined the fun, donated to support arts education, shopped local, and helped us light up downtown with holiday spirit. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and generosity are what make Port Townsend shine—especially during the winter months. Winter truly does shine bright in PT! And the merriment isn’t over yet! There’s still time to shop, dine, stay, and play throughout the season. Find that perfect gift #FoundInTown, take an evening stroll to enjoy the twinkling lights, catch a holiday performance, and celebrate the season together. Don’t forget to ring in the New Year at the First Night Celebration on December 31st! Thank you for supporting local, supporting community, and helping make this holiday season one to remember in Port Townsend. <https://mcusercontent.com/72d728eac0a891fc7cdd75517/_compresseds/f1d58f2e-7c81-9613-dd3d-f89a6bfa6613.jpg> Get Involved with Main Street in 2026! Looking to make a difference in Port Townsend? Main Street offers lots of fun and meaningful ways to get involved in 2026! Join a planning committee and help shape our community—our Promotions Committee meets year-round to plan and bring to life 20+ events each year, while the Design Committee meets quarterly to guide beautification projects in Uptown and Downtown. If you’re savvy with business, lending, or economic development, our Economic Vitality Committee could be a great fit. Short on time? Volunteer with our new Green Team to help care for Uptown and Downtown rain gardens, or lend a hand at one (or many!) of our fantastic community events. Visit our website to explore our annual events and discover the many ways you can get involved—there’s a place for everyone at Main Street! <https://mcusercontent.com/72d728eac0a891fc7cdd75517/images/7226e31f-f7be-f86a-6f1c-3b93f51a9acb.gif> Happy Holidays from the Port Townsend Main Street Program! As the year comes to a close, we’re filled with gratitude for our amazing community—our businesses, volunteers, partners, and supporters who help make Port Townsend such a vibrant and welcoming place. Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright New Year filled with connection, cheer, and all the magic that makes our town shine. We can’t wait to see you in 2026! <https://mcusercontent.com/72d728eac0a891fc7cdd75517/_compresseds/31605611-7e97-d662-3ae2-2581c14c1524.jpeg> Thanks for an Amazing Year! A Note from the Executive Director As the end of the year comes to a close, I want to thank everyone who has welcomed me and supported Port Townsend Main Street this year, our 40th year as an organization. Through the support of our members, volunteers, staff, sponsors, donors, and board plus collaborations with a variety of public and private partners we have had a successful 2025. From great promotions driving thousands to our historic business districts for events, to placemaking projects (new benches, tables, chairs, lights, and plants/flower baskets), to welcoming both residents and visitors through the Mobile Greeter Program, and growing the reach and content of our newsletter and social channels, we see the impact of our collective work. I am excited for what’s to come in 2026. We are currently working on building a new website, creating business resources for our small business community, developing a volunteer raingarden program, launching quarterly business engagement meetings, continuing many of the events and programs that are so loved, and much more. Share this newsletter with a friend so they can also stay up to date. <https://ptmainstreet.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=72d728eac0a891fc7cdd75517&id=ba2882bea5&e=19a6aabdc6> Reach out to connect <mailto:director@ptmainstreet.org?subject=Newsletter%20Connection> .
