Hello, I have written in the past regarding the availability of build-able residential lots. So far what I have seen is even more regulations regarding the creation of more lots, making the building of more homes less affordable. The implementation of Site Development Review and the refusal to allow boundary line adjustments in existing plats has been a step back in creating more affordable building lots. I am sure there was a reason for doing this but the end result did not create more affordable building lots. I would propose that the County revise the minimum 5-acre lot size for residential zoned property. Basically I believe that septic limitations should be the minimum lot size. If this is still deemed as too generous then perhaps the limit could be waived for all residential zoned land that is in an existing sub-division. Alternatively, Jefferson County could do what Clallam County has done and designate residential LAMIRD's and then use the septic considerations regarding minimum lot size. Thank you.
