He reviewed budget. The more for kids to do will save money in law and justice areas. Taking 10% from other funds would be more than enough to keep Memorial Field open.

clerk, clerk : Commented on efforts to provide relief in Haiti. That speaks to community. Which brings us to our local community.
Significant budget gap to close. County worked with PAB and County Parks and Rec. Division to develop a program to partner with the community to provide services. It costs around
$92,000 to operate Memorial Field. Revenue is $27,000. Gap needs to be field. It costs so much to fertilize grass, water and mowing to keep it in good condition to sustain the abuse
it undergoes. Electricity costs are high as a result of use of facility for night games. He has been meeting with School Districts, City and other organizations. He is cautiously
optimistic. Capital improvements are also an issue. There may be grant oppotunities to pursue. He agrees we need something for kids and families. It is time for public and private
organizations to come together to make sure we sustain the web of services for a healthy community. PJ commented that he does think about families. DS commented on reserves and discretionary
