technology for the County. Commented on Consent Agenda re: approval of configuration of network. He doesn't recall as RFP for this work. He also commented on Resource Conservation

clerk, clerk : She spoke on behalf of a group in support of broadband technology for Jefferson County which will benefit

clerk, clerk : Supports high speed internet technology and he thinks the County should move forward on it. This is one aspect of economic development,
but there is much more the County can do. The economic development plan is inhibited by land use regulations. If not, there will be continued budget problems. Businesses are closing.
People are losing their jobs and having to leave the county. The County is losing money.

J.C. is one of 19 counties and L& J. BroadStripe has refused to offer service to WSU and PTSD. She thanked Tom Thiersch and other agencies for assistance.

Has questions about the term "delegation". He appreciates the Board's community input workshops and hopes the BOCC will continue these discussions.

Resources meeting in Olympia tormorrow. Units 1 and 2 will be removed from timber sale to enable discussion about transfer of property. He talked about consortium of higher education

clerk, clerk : Attended Legis. steer.com. He attended timber counties meeting re: New approach for Secure Rural School funding.
Hydroelectric support from Kitsap County to King County. Reimbursement. Snohomish is about to build tidal generators in J.C. That is a potential source of income. He will prepare
letter of support for consideration by the Board. He reported on Coastal Counties meeting presentation on DNR aquatics.

confirmed to be at 7;00 p.m. tonight. DS asked about joint City/County meeting. He noted there were many comments in support of broadband technology. Many details to work out at
admin. level. RCM grant app. the BOCC took action last week. There is an extension of the dealine for that program. There may be some refinements to that agreement. PM will sign
letter to PSE and Wash. State Energy Office. More discussion will be held re; Homeward Bound. RCM local match will come from $ in existing budget as much as possible. If necessary
approp. can be justified by savings over the years. The County wants to continue practice of community input meetings.

that SMP documents have been completed and ready to be forwarded to the State DOE. He reviewed documents included. DOE will provide a public hearing in Jefferson County.
