HomeMy WebLinkAbout120610_ca06 Department of Public Works o Consent Agenda Page 1 of 1 Jefferson County Board of Commissioners Consent Agenda Request To: Board of Commissioners Philip Morley, County Administrator From: Frank Gifford, Public Works Director y- - -{ Agenda Date: December 6,2010 Subject: Extension of Professional Services Contract for Quimper Transportation Study through 2011 Statement of Issue: The County entered into Agreement Number 1761111307-001 with Transpo Group, Inc. on November 19,2007 for the development and application of a travel demand model for the Quimper Peninsula. The timing of the State Route (SR) 19/20 corridor planning process managed by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has affected the original project schedule. WSDOT reports that the SR 19/20 Corridor Plan is anticipated by the end of this year. Once the SR 19/20 Corridor Plan is finished, the Quimper Transportation Study will be able to be completed. Through this Supplemental Agreement, the contract with Transpo Group will be extended through 2011. The project scope and budget remain unchanged. Analysis / Strategic Goals / Pros 8: Cons: The study is useful for selecting projects for future 6-year Transportation Improvement Programs, contributing to Urban Growth Area transportation and land use planning, and updating the Comprehensive Plan as required in 2014. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The contract budget is unchanged. Recommendation: Authorize the Chair to sign three originals of the contract and return the three signed originals to Public Works for further processing.
