The length of the closure is not known so be careful. We are tracking the conditions and will keep you updated when something changes. A 250-foot landslide has occurred and it has covered the Spruce Railroad trail with debris. The area remains an active slide zone. Cleanup and assessment efforts will begin once the site stabilizes. This plan will guide how they remove barriers and create environments where everyone can participate fully and comfortably. To make sure they are addressing the needs that matter most, they are inviting input from the entire community including trail users. Your experiences, ideas, and priorities will help shape their plan to make it both meaningful and effective. The deadline for the City of Sequim's survey is January 15, 2026. Maintenance & Volunteer Work The Bear Creek Bridge project has been completed. Thank you for your dedication and work on this project! The Elwaha Bridge Run/Walk is Saturday, February 7, 2026. The 5K and 10K will be an out-and-back on the Olympic Discovery Trail. If you'd like to volunteer with them, they would love to have you help!
