STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Port Townsend School District has requested that the Commissioners approve and sign a proclamation for
each school district in Jefferson County proclaiming January 2011 as School Board Recognition Month.
Port Townsend School District
Chimacum School District
Quilcene School District
Brinnon School District
Sequim School District
Queets/Clearwater School District
Quillayute Valley School District

Once again, the Port Townsend School District is joining \-vith other districts throughout \Vashington to
celebrate January as School Hoard Appreciation Month, Serving on the Port Townsend School Board arc:
Anne Burkart, Holley Carlson, Bobby DuBois, Jennifer James-Wilson and Beth Young,
I am writing to request that you to create a County Proclamation recognizing January: as School Board
Appreciation Month, If possible, it would be nice for each board member to have an original, We will be
recognizing the school board at the January 24, 2011, regular board meeting.
I would be most appreciative or anything that you might be able to do, Also, Board Appreciation Month
applies to Chimaculll, Quilcene and Brinnon, as \-vell all school districts state and nation-wide.
