HomeMy WebLinkAboutWORKSHOP re Community Centers JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST TO: Board of Commissioners FROM: Shawn Frederick, Central Services Director DATE: January 12, 2026 RE: WORKSHOP and POTENTIAL ACTION: Community Centers STATEMENT OF ISSUE: At the September 2, 2025 BoCC meeting,the Board approved a motion to advertise a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the new agreement. On October 29, 2025,the County withdrew the RFP based on the questions received from potential applicants and other factors. On December 8, 2025,the BoCC held a workshop to consider feedback and inquiries from the original RFP and gave feedback to staff for the revision of the RFP document. ANALYSIS: The RFP was revised to address feedback received during the initial RFP announcement. Some of the areas addressed include: • Required format for proposal documents • Addition of scoring criteria • The addition of Pre-Proposal Conference at 4:00pm on January 27, 2026 • Insurance Requirements • Anticipated Budget • Sample Professional Services Agreement FISCAL IMPACT: Not to exceed $184,000 for the combined operation of Tri-Area, Quilcene, and Brinnon community centers, inclusive of all Jefferson County operating expenses.
