RESOLUTION NO. 18-89
Establishing a Parks x
Advisory Board x
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners wishes
to establish a Parks Advisory Board,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Jefferson
County Commissioners hereby establishes a Parks Advisory Board to
be composed of seven members appointed by the Board of County
commissioners, and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the responsibilities and duties
of the Parks Advisory Committee shall be to assist in the
development of programs and policies concerning Jefferson County
parks, to review and comment upon proposed rules, policies or
ordinances prior to their adoption by the Board of Jefferson
County Commissioners, to Oversee the development and any revisi-
ons and amendments to the Jefferson County_ Parks, open Space and,
Recreatlpn Plan and to carry out those duties prescribed therein,
and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the Parks Advisory Board is
hereby directed to adapt by -Laws governing the board, and said
by-laws shall be thence adopted by the Board of County Commis-
sioners as the by-laws of the Parks Advisory Board. Incorporated
in said by-laws shall be the objectives of the board and any
other procedures the board shall choose to adopt governing their
meetings.
