SR 104 Hood Canal Bridge: Expect additional nighttime closures Thursday, Jan. 29
SHINE – Nighttime travelers who use the State Route 104 Hood Canal Bridge between Jefferson and Kitsap counties are encouraged to plan additional travel time.
From 10 p.m. until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will conduct emergency storm training at the bridge.
Travelers can expect intermittent bridge closures of up to 30 minutes during training.
Every effort will be made to keep closures as short as possible.
What is happening?
Hood Canal Bridge maintenance crews will conduct required emergency storm training. During the training, crews will practice securing the bridge during a severe weather event.
The training is being held during evening hours to minimize disruptions to travelers.
