For many rural veterans, especially the elderly, traveling to medical appointments at VA facilities can be challenging. However, VA’s virtual care resources allow many veterans to receive care from home, where they are most comfortable. The VA can even provide a tablet to qualifying veterans to make in-home telehealth a viable option. In 2025, VA’s Office of Suicide Prevention shared dozens of resources for Veterans related to its clinical priority of preventing Veteran suicide.
