MINUTES
Jefferson County Finance Committee
Regular Meeting – October 27, 2025, 3:00 p.m.
Courthouse, Commissioners’ Chambers
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA CALL TO ORDER: Treasurer Stacie Prada called the meeting to order at 3:00 pm in the presence of, BOCC Chair Heidi Eisenhower, Auditor Brenda Huntingford, Commissioner Greg Brotherton, Commissioner Heather Dudley-Nollette, County Administrator Josh Peters, Finance
Director Judy Shepherd, Financial Planning & Analysis Manager Thomas Goodworth
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Finance Committee Chair Prada called for public comments,
and no comments were received. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Auditor Huntingford moved to approve the July 28, 2025 Finance Committee minutes. FC Chair Prada seconded the motion. The motion carried.
DISCUSSION re: Treasurer’s Report 3rd Quarter 2025 covering County and District debt and investments: FC Chair Prada reviewed the county and district debt and investment reports, portfolio management, and answered questions posed by the Board.
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: 2026 Meeting Schedule: FC Chair Prada
reviewed the 2026 meeting schedule for the BoCC to attend. After discussion, Member Eisenhour moved that the Finance Committee members have a joint special meeting with the full Board of County Commissioners for the quarterly meetings on the same schedule as the last Commissioner meeting in January, April, July and October 2026. After further discussion,
Member Eisenhour gave a friendly amendment to remove the special from the meeting and make
them joint regular meetings. Member Huntingford seconded the motion, which carried by a unanimous vote. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Suggested items for future agendas are County debt, anticipated
debt, types of debt, funding options, and capital planning.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Chair Prada adjourned the Finance Meeting and posted the
Notice of Adjournment at 3:31pm.
