our democracy—often without recognition, and in many cases at great personal cost.
This Black History Month offers us a time to reflect on the progress that has been built through sacrifice, participation, leadership, and collaboration across differences. It is a story
of resilience, innovation, and a deep belief that democracy is sustained when every voice has the opportunity to be heard—even when standing up requires everything.
