SUBJECT: Close Veteran's Relief Bank Account
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Originally there was a need to maintain a bank account to be able to pay Veterans outside the County's
accounts payable schedule.
ANALYSIS:
This bank account hasn't had activity for at least five years.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None. This is simply moving cash from a dormant back account back into Fund 155 Veteran's Relief.
RECOMMENDATION:
Deposit the balance, $6,500, of the bank account with the JC Treasurer to Fund 155 Veteran's Relief and
give permission to the Treasurer to close the account.

RESOLUTION NO.
Bank Account
WHEREAS, a prior authorization that the County establish and maintain a bank account
specifically for Veteran's Relief; and
WHEREAS, the bank account hasn't had any activity for at least five years.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY,STATE OF WASHINGTON:
Section 1. Whereas Clauses Adopted as Findings of Fact. The Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners hereby adopts the above"Whereas"clauses as Findings of Fact.
Section 2. Purpose. The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners authorize the deposit of
the Veteran's Relief bank account balance,$6,500,to Fund 155 Veteran's Relief and proceed
to close the account effective immediately.
Section 3. Severability. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or section of this
resolution or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of this
resolution or its application to other persons or circumstances shall be fully valid and shall not be
affected.
Section 4. Effective Date. This resolution is effective upon adoption.
Section 5. SEPA Categorical Exemption. This resolution is categorically exempt from the State
Environmental Policy Act under WAC 197-11-800(19).
