HomeMy WebLinkAbout021411_ca01 Department of Public Works o Consent Agenda Page 1 of 1 Jefferson County Board of Commissioners Consent Agenda Request From: Board of Commissioners Philip Morley, County Administrator Frank Gifford, Publ1c Works Director ~ To: Subject: February 14, 2011 Schedule a public hearing date for amending the 2011-2016 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program (6-yr TIP) Agenda Date: Statement of Issue: Schedule a public hearing date for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2011 for the purpose of receiving public testimony concerning amendment of the 2011-2016 Jefferson County Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program (6-yr TIP). The Board adopted the 2011-2016 6-yr TIP on October 18, 2010 through Resolution 45- 10. To enable the acquisition of $925,000 of federal funds awarded to Jefferson County through the County Road Safety Program 2010, a Run-Off-Road ft Intersection Safety Project needs to be added to the current TIP. Adding a project to the TIP requires a hearing. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pros ft Cons: The Board is required to set the hearing date and sign the legal notice to enable it to be published prior to the hearing. Fiscal Impact/Cost-Benefit Analysis: The cost for the hearing notice is approximately $100. Recommendation: Authorize the Chair to sign the hearing notice and return it to Public Works for further processing.
