VA’s Community Living Centers are comparable to nursing homes, providing around-the-clock comprehensive care to Veterans, including skilled nursing, medical care, and assistance with
activities of daily living. Veterans may live in the centers on either a short- or long-term basis.
“I like it here because the staff are there for me when I need them — and not like other nursing homes where you have to wait for someone to be available,” said Army Veteran Cornelius
Collier. “And they get to know you like a person, not just a patient.”
