Dear County Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington,
I urge you to appoint James Friedman to the District 3 seat on the Solid Waste Advisory Committee. Jim is exceptionally well informed on the relevant issues of community recycling and
waste management and has demonstrated a keen interest in how to best serve residents of south county who wish to contribute to the county’s goal of efficient and cost-effective recycling
and waste management. He has a sharp analytical mind that is capable of weighing the effectiveness of multiple options, each with numerous variables that must be considered. Additionally,
he is able to then clearly articulate his reasoning to people both well-versed in the solid waste enterprise and those who are not.
I cannot think of anyone else who I would trust more to fairly represent my interests as a long-term resident of rural south Jefferson County on the issue of ensuring the continuance
of effective recycling and solid waste management.
