* On Friday, as a member of the House Oversight Committee, I went to the Department of Justice to view the unredacted Epstein files – they are more disgusting and vile than could ever
be imagined.

violation of the Separation of Powers under the Constitution.

Upholding Sovereignty and Self-determination – Puyallup Tribe Bill:
* Last week, I introduced the the Helping Our People Act of 2026, or “kʷaxʷad tiiɫ ʔiišədčəɫ,” in the Native Twulshootseed language of the Puyallup Tribe.
* This bill corrects a long-standing inequity that currently prevents the Puyallup Tribe from controlling their own Permanent Trust.

House Republicans Pass SAVE Act to Strip Away Your Voting Rights:
* Last week, House Republicans passed another version of the so-called SAVE Act – a Trump-backed bill that would make it harder for ALL Americans to vote – Democrats, Republicans, and
Independents.
* As a reminder: this legislation would make it harder for Americans to register to vote, require voters to present proof of citizenship to register (21 million eligible voters <https://iqconnect.hou

36324446> currently lack the required documents, i.e. passport, birth certificate, etc,) and would make it harder for married women to vote if they changed their last name.
* The SAVE Act could strip voting rights away from 1.6 million women in Washington state whose last names don’t match their birth certificate.
* I voted NO again. I strongly urge my colleagues in the Senate to reject this clear attempt to gut voting rights for millions of Americans.

Oversight Shadow Hearing:
* I joined my House Oversight Democratic colleagues at a field hearing to expose how Elon Musk’s reckless DOGE firings and Russ Vought’s war on the federal workforce have caused irreparable

* My office is now accepting applications for the 2026 Youth Leadership Council, any high schooler in the 6th district is eligible to apply!
