To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to recommend Jim Friedman for the district 3 seat on the Jefferson County Solid Waste Advisory Committee. As a South County resident, I believe Jim brings a practical and
community-focused perspective that is well suited to the responsibilities of this committee and the decisions it helps inform.
Jim has consistently demonstrated a strong interest in ensuring that solid waste programs in Jefferson County operate efficiently, economically, and with clear accountability to the
public. He understands that solid waste management directly affects every resident and business in the county, and he approaches these issues with a focus on balancing environmental
responsibility with the real financial impacts on citizens. His perspectives reflect an understanding that good policy must be both effective and affordable.
In conversations and community discussions, Jim has shown a thoughtful approach to the stewardship of public funds. He advocates for solutions that maximize value, avoid unnecessary
expense, and ensure that county resources are used responsibly. This practical mindset is especially important as Jefferson County continues to evaluate long-term solid waste strategies
and infrastructure investments.
Jefferson County benefits from residents who are willing to engage thoughtfully in public service, and Jim’s commitment to efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and responsible resource
management makes him a strong candidate for this seat. I respectfully recommend Jim be selected to fill this position.
Sincerely,
Shellie Yarnell
