SUBJECT: ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTMENTS(2)—re: Intellectual and Developmental
Disabilities Advisory Board(IDDAB); Self-Advocates, Robin Boulanger and Amber
Kent
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The Jefferson County Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities program requests appointment of
applicants Robin Boulanger and Amber Kent to the Jefferson County Intellectual and Developmental
Disabilities Advisory Board(IDDAB)to specifically fill the roles of"self-advocates."
ANALYSIS:
The Jefferson County Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board(IDDAB)voted in favor
of recommending that the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) appoint Robin
Boulanger and Amber Kent to the IDDAB, filling the roles of self-advocates. That vote occurred at the
regular meeting of the IDDAB on January 27, 2026. The self-advocate role is described in the IDDAB
bylaws.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Members of the IDDAB who fill the"self-advocate"position are eligible to receive a$50 stipend per
meeting attended as defined in the board's bylaws.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Jefferson County IDD program coordinator requests approval of the appointment of Robin Boulanger
and Amber Kent to the Jefferson County Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board in
roles of"self-advocates."
