On Tuesday evening, President Trump is going to give his State of the Union—but we all know that’s not what he’ll focus on.
He is going to talk about his favorite subject—himself.
Maybe he’ll complain about not having a Nobel Prize. He will almost certainly continue spreading lies about the 2020 election, which he lost.
I’m not going to dignify his lies and sit through that in person.
But you can bet I’ll be listening, and importantly, I’ll be ready to respond to the lies and set the record straight.
Ahead of President Trump’s State of the Union, I’ll be delivering my own address to Washington state.

So much has happened in just the past year, and you should know exactly how President Trump has failed you. Prices are surging in no small part thanks to his catastrophic tariff policy,
health care costs are skyrocketing thanks to his refusal to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits, and we’ve all seen how completely out-of-control ICE and Border Patrol have become.
All the while, Trump is proving every day that he is the most corrupt President in American history—openly enriching himself and his family at the expense of the American taxpayer.
There’s a better way forward—it really doesn’t have to be tax cuts for billionaires and Medicaid cuts for the rest of us. Using our voices and our votes, we can decide the future of
America. And I believe it can be a brighter, more hopeful future. Trump wants to build a ballroom—I want to build more affordable housing. He wants to cut Medicaid—I want to make universal
health care a reality.
I have a different vision for our state and country. And I’ll be joined by some folks from across Washington state who can speak firsthand about how Trump’s actions are driving up costs,
ripping health care away from hardworking Americans, and wreaking havoc on our communities.
