Hello Shawn and Commissioners -
I want to address a recent misunderstanding head-on. In a conversation with a local philanthropist (Linda Herzog, cc'd here), I discussed a potential $10,000 matching commitment for
a digital reader board at the Quilcene community center. However, I noted this would be contingent on OlyCAP holding the contract - only because, logically, if we weren’t administering
the program, we couldn’t oversee that capital improvement. I want to be clear - this was never intended to influence or pressure the selection process.
I apologize if this was misinterpreted. My intent is always to be transparent and maintain an ethical process. I welcome any opportunity to clarify further or discuss how we ensure fairness
and integrity in this process.
