Box 4338 South Colby,WA 98384 Dear Mr. Hardy: RE: Elevation Certificate Parcel#612041007 Lot 8 of Vol. 10 Pg. 143 Surveys Portion Gov't. Lot 6 Sec. 4, T26N, R12W, W.M., Jefferson County, WA On August 22, 2008, I visited the area where you plan to build a house and garage. This proposed building site is still timbered so I took several ground elevations within proposed building areas. Once the site is logged and cleared these elevations will change by several feet. BFE's were established for this area by Herrera Environmental Consultants in 7/04 while performing work for the Washington State Department of Transportation. The 100 year flood elevations are published in US 101 Milepost 174 Hoh River Erosion Project findings. Based on the above referenced report your proposed building site falls within cross sections #80 and #90 which have a 100 year flood determination using the HEC-RAS method of 162.0 feet to 164.9 feet. Your ground elevations within the undisturbed building site area are 175.95 feet to 176.02 feet, therefore falling above the floodplain. This is also about the same elevation as your neighbor, Mr. Jim Hart, is presently building on. He has the parcel just to the west of your lot. If you need anything else please let me know.
