MINUTES
Jefferson County Tourism Coordinating Council
Special Meeting – Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 10:30 a.m.
This is a Hybrid meeting: Virtual and In-Person Attendance at
Jefferson County Courthouse – First Floor Conference Room
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA
Call to Order: Chair Heather Dudley-Nollette called the meeting to order at the appointed time.
Members Caitlin Friedman, Diana Smeland, Dan Ventura, Amy Neil, and Steve Shively participated in
the meeting. A quorum was confirmed.
Public Comment: Chair Dudley-Nollette opened the floor for public comments, and no comments were
received.
Old Business re: Continued Discussion re: Review Draft Bylaws: The Council continued discussions on the
drafted By-laws and the TCC Resolution verbiage. Chair Dudley-Nollette shared her screen for edits. After
discussion Chair Dudley-Nollette called for a motion to approve the final revision to the by-laws to be submitted
to the Board of County Commissioners for review and approval. Member Friedman moved the aforementioned
motion. Member Shively seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Member Neil excused herself from the remainder of the meeting at 11:02 a.m.
New Business re: Discussion re: Publication of open positions: The Council discussed the member positions
and the notice for advertising. After discussion Member Ventura moved to approve the posting as per the version
provided in packet. There was no second to the motion. Member Shively moved to modify the posting where the
first paragraph ends at the “TCC is seeking applications to serve with the pleasure of Jefferson County
Board of BOCC, consistent with Jefferson County Resolution Number 26-0421-25R”, eliminating the
listed numbers of 1, 2, and 3, and continue on to the third paragraph. Member Ventura seconded the
motion. The motion carried.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Chair Dudley-Nollette adjourned the meeting at 11:08 a.m. until the
next regular meeting or special meeting as properly noticed.
