grant funding for civilian-military compatibility projects near Washington’s military installations.
The DCCA provides funds for compatible development and infrastructure projects that affect the economy, environment or quality of life opportunities for communities influenced by military
presence.
Example projects include land acquisition, recovery and protection of endangered species, local infrastructure, affordable housing, retrofitting existing uses, economic development and
job replacement.
Eligible applicants include:
* Local governments
* Federally recognized Indian tribes
* Entities that have an agreement with a Washington state military installation under the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration (REPI) program
to address incompatible development

The application is available online through ZoomGrants. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on May 4, 2026.

Commerce will evaluate and rank applications to develop a prioritized list of eligible projects for submission to the Legislature for funding consideration during the 2027 legislative
session. Grant awards are contingent on funding allocated by the Legislature.
