Box 65485 Port Ludlow, WA 98365 Re: Soil Bearing Tax Parcel 701253005 Jefferson County Dear Ms Vogley and Mr. Smaker: It is my understanding you plan to build a garage on the site. Soils underlying the site consist of advance outwash deposits. As such these soils have been over consolidated by the mass of glacial ice that covered the area. As long as the upper top soil layer is removed down to unweathered soil, the soil on the site is capable of providing support for bearing pressures of 2,500 psf for foundation loads. The soil may be capable of supporting higher loads, but that determination would require more detailed testing of the soil. Stratum Group appreciates the opportunity to be of service to you.
