Ref: July 4, 2025 Jeff county Fireworks Ban...Total defiance...no penalty
I will address one small area: Lower Irondale Park at end of Moore St.
1. Sign: Closed during hours of darkness
2. Sign: No fires or fireworks

I walked down Moore St. observing residents watering down their propertys in
fear of a fire that could occurwith all the dead brush and trees there. I walked
down amongst those that had gathered some heavy drinking those
stumbling around those slurringtheirwords could smelt liquor and if
you stood in the right area you could possibly get high on the weed being
smoked.
I would like to speak of the humanity of the wildlife involved. How many birds
live in those trees and bushes. I am sure you are aware birds cannot see in
the darktherefore they do not fly. A loud burst or explosion would definitely
set them in motion not knowing where they are going....maybe into a
car...anothertree....a fence....a local house Injury is inevitable....broken
limbs....death...broken ear drums....etc. Research claims hundreds of birds
that have died due to fireworks. How about all the little possums...raccoons.
and fox and coyotes Domestic animals also included...Our two dogs cling
to us and vibrate constantly....Why should we go to the vet for tranquilizers to
calm our critterss.
There was total defiance of the ban and getting away with it...I dont know of
any ticket issued for the offense. There were many there that were impaired
from drinking and drove home afterorto another party...using our roads and I
do not know of any tickets issued for DUI. Next morning I went down to the
park and found the mini-dumpster bulging with discharged fireworks along
with numerous garbage bags full and leaning on the dumpster..also in the
area was other numerous garbage full of probably other fireworks debris to
include alcoholic containers and remains offood partying. Clearly saying the
county can pay for their garbage. These people are retards.
RETARDED: SLOW OR LIMITED IN MENTAL-PHYSICAL OR EMOTIONAL
DEVELOPMENT
There was not one person there that cared about the people and their
residence on Moore Street or any animal
affected
Poulsbo recently announced they are banning fireworks for safety reasnon.
We should be doing the same.
There is and always has been illegal and homemade fireworks in Jeff county
Our law enforcement is pathetic. We need enforcement not just some body
walking around showing off a uniform—gun—and badge.
We need fireworks banned for SAFETY REASONS
